2023 Walk

Sunday, October 29, 2023

2023 Goal:  $65,00

Our Walk this year is held in memory of Connie Hudson, who was a Walker, a Team Captain, a member of the CROP Walk Planning Committee and an Angel for so many helping agencies in the Triangle.  Connie was a faithful member of  White Memorial Presbyterian Church and we believe participated in the first, or near the first Raleigh CROP Hunger (now the GTA CROP Hunger Walk) in 1981 (around the time of the first picture below)  We miss her, but her Spirit continues as the Heart of the CROP Walk.  If you would like to donate in Connie’s memory, please CLICK HERE.

For this year’s Walk we return to downtown Raleigh.  The Step off will be from First Baptist Church on Salisbury Street parking lot (GPS 176 Hillsborough Street).   There is plenty of parking with an adjoining state parking lot (by Sanctuary on Hillsborough St, just past 99 N. Salisbury) and state parking deck 77 on West Edenton Street (turn left onto Edenton Street from N. Salisbury just before you reach the State Capitol).  Both parking options are no charge.

AND ALSO WITH ‘CUE, the give-back food truck ministry of First Baptist Church, will be on site from Noon until 2:30 pm selling their BBQ Meals.  In keeping with the give back ministry, 20% of your purchase will be donated to GTA CROP Walk.  The Fellowship Hall of the church will be open for dining on site or you can pick up your order and eat elsewhere.

Please click here to fill out your anticipated order.  This will give AAWC an idea of sales for that day.
